Instructor Bio: Mark Booker
Born in small town Nebraska, Mark has moved up quickly to become a smart, bright, young talent in the film industry. He has spent the past few months on location working as the Executive Director of a romantic comedy and comes with a very extensive resume. Along with teaching our workshop, Mark will also be planning his next film during his stay here in Omaha. The comedy will be shooting in Florida this fall, (and yes, he will be looking for actors for this film). Mark will also be traveling to Los Angeles in September to shoot a film he recently landed a role in, which includes several well-known actors in the industry.

Mark is multi-talented as an actor, director, writer, producer and he even scores a lot of his own films as well as lending his original music to the projects he's involved in. A true team player, often known to do whatever he can to make the films he's a part of a success, he's learned by working with such talents as Martin Landau, Ellen Burstyn, Elizabeth Banks, Adam Scott, Ann-Margaret, Ari Graynor, and Colin Hanks.

Zym Electrolyte Drink Tabs - Kudos to Jamie K who booked a paid promotional job in Sioux City, IA this past weekend! Jamie assisted at the RagBrai event which features cyclists from all over the world as they travel from coast to coast on bicycles. Jamie promoted Zym Electrolyte Drink Tabs.

Surdell/Pamida - Bravo to Quinn G, Bethany B, Derek L, Gracie C and Isabelle who all booked individual photo shoots with Surdell last week! Great Job talent! Surdell is the advertising agency for Pamida. Our talent will be featured in their upcoming print advertisements.

Omaha Fashion Week Magazine Release Party - Thanks to all of you who attended the OFW Magazine Release Party! We can't wait for the big event is September!! Kudos to all of our ladies that are featured in the magazine!

Omaha Nighthawk UFL Event - Fab job to Stephanie F and Christie K who participated in a paid promotional event for the Omaha Nighthawk UFL team! Our ladies welcomed the team to Omaha and discussed things to do in the area, as most of the players are not from the Midwest. GREAT WORK LADIES!

Fashion Photo Shoot Unveiling - Don't miss the next photo unveiling on THIS Thursday, July 29th at 6:45pm! The event is open to the public so invite your friends and family. Appetizers and beverages will be served. Sooo excited to see the glam pics of Tori T, Jessica W and Olivia I!

A Closer Look
Talent of the Month
Alyssa Clough

As a child, Alyssa moved around the country living in places like Tenessee and Chicago before settling in Omaha. She has both an older and a younger sister and lives with her family in Omaha although they will be relocating this fall to Orange County, California. Alyssa recently graduated from Millard North High School and plans to attend Northwestern University in Chicago in the fall where she will major in journalism. She is currently still deciding between pursuing a career in broadcast or print journalism.

Alyssa began modeling at 89 Talent Management when she auditioned in early 2009 and immediately started Fusion classes. Alyssa jumped right in to every runway show available. She modeled in FashionLOUD this year, which was the first show she ever participated in the year before. Runway is one of her favorite things to do and she has walked in a variety of shows such as Rock N Fashion, multiple fashion bars, the Village Pointe-OMG show, Bridal Fair, Fashion in Salvation, and Omaha Fashion Week 2009.

In addition to modeling for the agency, Alyssa has competed in pageants since she was in middle school. Her freshman year of high school she was crowned National American Miss Junior Teen Nebraska and also won the most photogenic award. After that, she went on to compete in the Miss Nebraska Teen USA pageant and received third runner-up the first year, and first runner-up for the next two years in a row. Two of those years she also won the preliminary swimsuit competition. Last March she also competed in the America's National Teenager Pageant and received first runner-up in the Teen Division.

Alyssa also enjoys doing photo shoots and random promotional jobs. A memorable experience for her was being a trophy girl for the Omaha Entertainment Awards last winter and spending a day as an extra in a car commercial. Shooting with Christian Behr last fall was also a day to remember! She loves fashion and will always be a part of the industry in the future no matter how she is involved. Alyssa was recently named a finalist in the "Spirit of Omaha" Model Search with Metro Magazine.

In the future Alyssa plans to continue competing in pageants and modeling while living in Chicago. She is currently deciding whether she wants to pursue broadcasting for her favorite channel, E!, or working on a fashion magazine as a columnist or perhaps doing work behind the scenes. In her spare time Alyssa enjoys running, biking, working out, tanning, reading tons of books, shopping, and enjoying her time off in the summer as much as she can.

Tips & FAQS
Enhance Your Tan

1. Hair Prescription - No one's going to notice your gorgeous tan if your hair looks stressed-out and damaged. Wear a hat when you're out in the sun, and use a leave-in conditioning treatment to add moisture to locks and calm frazzled ends.

2. Eye Shine - Summer is a great time to try lighter, shimmery shades of shadow (like light blue or green) that pop against darker skin. And we love cream formulas because they're so easy to apply quickly. Who wants to waste time in the bathroom when you could be outside?

3. Get Cheeky - Celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose likes to use products with peach or orange undertones on tan skin because they enhance your color without making you look overdone.

4. Glossed Over - You should also look for lip products with peach undertones. A sheer gloss is a great option to add a little punch of shine, without the heaviness of a lipstick.

5. Bronze Goddess - If your tan starts to fade unevenly or you're just dying for a little more color, get out your handy bronzer and a big brush. Blending is key here: Make sure there are no lines of demarcation around your neck ... the tell-tale sign of a fake glow.

6. Curl & Go - The great thing about glowing, tan skin is that it makes your eyes stand out. If you must wear mascara, use only one coat of a waterproof formula. But we think you're better off just curling your lashes for a natural, eye-opening effect.
