Runway: FashionLOUD! – 6/14/2010

In its second year, FashionLOUD is bigger, better, and more fierce than ever!

Last year's special guest, Stella Zotis of "Project Runway," returned this year as host and ringmaster of the show. The main show featured more than 50 male and female models wearing the latest in music-inspired fashion.

Fashion, of course, is just part of the event - it's the music that makes it LOUD! Models during the main event were accompanied by the sounds of power-pop quartet Rock Paper Dynamite, followed by funky electro-house act Ultimate Downhill Machines.

FashionLOUD is also a fundraiser for the Hope Center for Kids. The North Omaha-based center provides urban youth with opportunities for spiritual, physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. Photography: Scott Forman

Photographer Spotlight: AJ Brown – 5/17/2010

89 talent are featured in these Polaroids with noted Photographer, AJ Brown. AJ Brown is a nationally published photographer. His work has appeared all over the country including major publications such as Seventeen and Cosmo Girl magazines. AJ has photographed major fashion events such as Miami and LA fashion weeks.

Since his arrival to Omaha last summer, he has quickly established himself as one of the top fashion photographers in the area. You may recognize his work from Omaha Fashion Week, Fashion in Salvation, Vanice Fashion Show and many other fashion events in the area. AJ also shot the Omaha Fashion Week magazine, and will be shooting the Project Runway Nebraska Aids Project "Condom Fashion Show" later this summer. AJ will be helping 89 talent to develop model portfolios as well as lead workshops for talent to learn basic, intermediate and advanced techniques: instruction to improve their overall experience and knowledge of modeling,portfolio development, Polaroids, and editorial photography.
